It’s Monday, which means it is letter time. Here’s the thing: it’s spring break chez Lusignan. I’m going to take my own good advice—vacations are important, Kori—and officially take this opportunity to recharge and renew…away from the computer.
We’ll be doing some traveling, and I’ll be attending a social media conference. I’m looking forward to the time with family and new friends.
I don’t want to leave you without a fun recipe for the week, though, so I’m going overboard: I’m leaving you with 21 new recipes!
I was chatting with a friend of mine the other day, and in a moment of GenX nostalgia, we both got to talking about punch. You know, punch in a punchbowl, usually with some glorious ring of frozen juice in a mold, or sherbet floating within it. We didn’t realize it at the time, but punch was on its way out the door as a party staple as we were children overdoing it at bridal showers and graduation parties.
Go to any thrift store or estate sale, and you can find more than your fair share of abandoned punch bowls ready for a good soirée. Even if you don’t want to break out the cut crystal, though, springtime—today is the first day of spring, after all—is a perfect time to get your punch on.
So, without further ado, please enjoy this fun link to 21 old-fashioned punch recipes. The sparkling strawberry and lime punch recipes are calling to me. What looks tasty to you?
Happy spring, everyone. See you next week!
